i read the bible for the articles

Contributed by Cancer on Wednesday, 10th September 2003 @ 11:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

repentance leads to
shame leads to
inferiority
i do no wrong
and i won't play along
in your game of masochristianity

put the whole world on the cross
to suffer for your beLIEfs
sowers of sorrow
preaching damnation come tomorrow
in a world already full of grief

i don't think any of you beLIEve
in the promises you make
another social status boosting hoax
herd communion in which you partake
YOU'RE ALL SO ***** FAKE
your god's ever-present mistake

a holy clan of twisted trolls
fed fat from emptied wallets and swindled souls
a mass argument in favor of abortion
an anti-evolution debate
preaching love, practicing hate
defending the peace with a loaded gun

i refuse to believe that you are so stupid
as to worship an invisible man
meanwhile, your lies cloud once clear eyes
and the world eats from your hand
i can't believe the lies you tell
rapture? forgiveness? eternal hell
just another product to sell
and holy ***** markets so damn well

cellophane wrapper for your
messiah of despair
you say he suffered on the cross?
oh, what a tragic loss
can't you see that i don't care
his publicity stunt suicide means less
than the sum of your pathetic lives
the sad truth is, if there's a hell
then in the flames christ writhes
his death was assisted suicide
and if suicide is a sin
then fling wide the gates of hell
and you'll find your lord within

brain of cattle, heart of snake
clothed like harmless sheep
empty eyes, a window to the lies
and the hidden agendas you keep
parade your fallibility
as perfection doomed to fall
you are the reason people don't beLIEve in your god
thanks for ***** it up for us all

Thank you!!!!!!! This is a very good rant/poem. I love it. All these catholic/ christian preach that we should always love our neighbor, but they believe in war and the death penalty. Always contradicting themselves. Suicide is a sin, but in a sense Jesus did commit suicide. Homosexuality is according to the sheepherder a sin, but they cover for the homosexual priest. Out of wedlock love-making is a sin, but Jesus was never married but didn't die a virgin. Sorry babbling. Very intriguing write!

I'm sorry you feel that way. I think that we all are going to make mistakes, and not practice what we preach. In fact I KNOW we all are going to. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't give Christians a chance. Give God a chance. He just wants to love you. Is that so much to ask?

I'm a cow, and proud of it. So MOOOO and God bless you. I wish you the best.
Love Joy and Peace,
Jellybellyprincess
