WAR OF AGES

Contributed by kickass on Wednesday, 10th September 2003 @ 08:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: war

oh say the government,
pride and misfortune,
the bells all ring,
for sanctions all the way,
with oppurtunity,
seeing whats right to me,
let freedom sing.
for all that sought to fight,
knowing to freedom write,
in our history,
that man is me.
for our country,
for peace and liberty,
freedom rings,
for all the hate it brings,
it brings much more.
for all that noticed he,
who stood for this country,
for no more misery,
let freedom ring.
for all this destruction,
there is more of construction,
for all of the freedom,
is sacrifice.
for all of leadership,
there is friendship,
for all of our choices,
there are some we can't make.
some things were meant to be,
but weren't approved by me,
but they happened simply,
and im glad.
for all this solitude,
for all this livelyhood,
we have made it true,
through violent storms of truth.
the reason we fight,
is not to set apart,
it is just to rebuild,
all hate to renew,
and free all of you.

Great Poem in my eyes, but the "oppurtunity" is spelled "Opportunity" :)
