GOD ME AND A BUTTERFLY

AS I WALK THESE STREETS
BROKEN AND ALNOE
SEARCHING FOR AN ANSWER
LOOKING FOR A HOME
EVERYTHING FAMILIAR
A MILLION MILES AWAY
TEAR STAINED PAVEMENT
WONDERING SOULS IN DISARRAY
I FIND A PLACE TO NESSEL FOR THE NIGHT
AS I POUR OUT MY SOUL
INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE NIGHT
A SAFE HAVEN AWAITED ME
IN THE DAWN OF THE NEXT DAY
THE SALVATION ARMY
GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS
IN THE MIDST OF OUTCASTS
PEOPLE NOT DIFFERENT FROM ME
I FOUND FRIENDSHIP
STILL IN MY HEART TILL THIS DAY
THESE TORMENTED SOULS
CAUGHT IN THE PERILS OF SELF HATE AND ABUSE
STRUGGLING WITH DRUGS
SELLING THEMSELVES STILL TO THIS DAY
WE WOULD WALK DOWN THESE STREETS
BE SHUNNED AND CAST AWAY
I FOUND GOD IN THESE DARK DAYS
AS I SAT ON THE CONCREAT OF THIS UNTAMED BEAST
CRACK VILES, NEEDLES, AND PEOPLE ASTRAY
I WAS READY TO GIVE UP
THROW IT ALL AWAY
YOU CAME TO ME LORD ON THIS DAY
AS I SAT A BUTTERFLY FLOATED MY WAY
IT PERCHED ON MY FINGER LONG ENOUGH TO CREATE A SMILE
JUST GOD, ME, AND A BUTTERFLY

Wow!! I realy like this one, and what a great ending phrase.
Beautifully well written.
