Pronouncement Of Anguish

Contributed by jaeann on Tuesday, 9th September 2003 @ 05:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The loss in sight,
a loss to connect.
Never putting face to sound,
a page in life disconnects.

That damn doorbell
the ****ing ring,
was just the beginning
they both, for years
would sing.

A man of cloth,
many a person of faith
always pushing or punishing
playcating beatitudes
on display.

A look of pity
fate be scorned
one last chance always losing
a little girl once more forlorn.

A promise to keep
so many vows severed
selfish alterations
bonds lost forever.

A downfall of grief
the silence crept in
one by one they fall
nothing left to believe in.

Anger so rare
ire becoming free
how dare them their absence
all choices stolen from me.

No picture replaces
no practice restores
the evidence of loss
the meaning of score.

Tally the cost
raise the bar
struggling gets so deep
don't rush up too far.

Sshh .... listen to the pounding
'tis only your beating heart
the rise up of fear
giving you that start.

Who's waiting at the door
to ring the ***damn bell,
ignore the ****ing ring
don't let fate inside
to cast her spell.

Costly uninviting darkness
encroaches into day,
leave your message on the outside wall
inside is where to stay.

Dear Jaymee, how great! Powerful, and yet reasonable too!
Staying within where it is safe.
No more placating, no more announcing your fate!
Have they been there....far from....yet they ring your door bell.....all is gone!
Stay inside dear Jaymee....stay where it's warm and you don't feel.....where only your heart will beat, and you'll understand......
Can't adjust to all, and sometimes none.
Do what will help you the most.
"Make No Heartache Today!" your toast!
Warm hugs Jaymee....I love you!

Dearest Jaeann,
This is so powerful and touching.
Staying within yourself does seem
to be the safest place . I know because
that is my usual hangout. Your writing
always seems to touch a part of me
that I could never describe. Thank you
so much for sharing your pain and
letting others know they are not
alone in feeling the pain.

much love to you,
POOBEAR
