If your going to say goodbye
Save your breath or tell me a lie
I know that you wish to walk away
My only hope was that somehow i could make you stay
What a fool I was to think i could keep you as my own
You are too beautiful too wonderful and if i cant have you i'de rather be alone
I can't pretend anymore.
But i can't help wondering what is my love good for?
I love you with all i that am but even that is not enough
I'll never be the one that you truly love
But please, if your going to leave me with all my grief
Don't say a word just leave
You don't have to explain. I understand
No kiss good-bye not even a wave of your hand
Don't even turn around unless you want to see me weep
The wounds inside are far too deep
Theres no need for you to look upon my pain
I must be lost to you like tears in the rain
You must forget me i must not be a burden
One day you will find your true love. That is certain.
But even then, even after you have forgotten me
And i am not even a remnant of your memories
I will be somewhere still loving you, still feeling my pain
Because no matter the circumstances my love for you will remain.

very good, yes there will always be a little bit of love there, but you will find you can love another, and another if need be until you find the perfect fit.

| was like reading my heart when reading your poem...seems you can always tell when someone is slipping away. still, you can rarely stop it. i will read this poem many times. thank you for sharing, andi hope the hurt goes away leaving you sweet memories. painted_echos. |
