I wrote you a note,
i left it on my bed,
it holds all my feelings,
things i shouldve said,
it might be hard to read,
words running off the page,
in puddles of tears,
tears of sadness and rage,
ill be gone too soon,
and the moment you wake,
ill be watching over you in heaven,
and every step you take,
ill watch you walk into my room,
pick up the envelope,
probably thinking,
its just some kind of cute note,
then as you read on,
the words dont make sense,
all feeling is gone,
suddenly every bone in your frail body goes tense,
suddenly you cant breathe,
tears burn at your eyes,
you sink to the floor,
pain ringing out in your cries,
suddenly i need you,
and now i see you need me,
mommy, why did i leave,
how could i have been so blind to see,
Oh God, i want to live again,
tell her its okay,
let her know that im not really gone,
tell her what i need to say,
suddenly im screaming,
and she cant hear a word,
she only sits there crying,
everything is going blurred,
suddenly mommy, i cant see you,
everythings going black,
mommy, why cant i see you,
o God, let me go back,
all of a sudden your face is fading,
why cant i remember who you are,
i saw your face for one last time,
then everything went dark.
