We Are

Contributed by adsalamon on Sunday, 7th September 2003 @ 04:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

“We are nothing”
Cry those who know
Universe spinning eternally
Going nowhere anytime soon
No god will take you away
No saint will you become
All we do and all we say
Lost in time, lost in space
“We are lost”
Scream those who know
Born and die, Born and die
The cycle goes on, step after step
Brick by brick; build the crumbling wall
To get demolished, the wasted effort
What is the point in carrying on?
“We are loss”
Shout those who know
Breathe, eat, sleep and die
Clockwork mice scuttling round
Meaning all the same
Death the anchor to weigh us down
Stop us dead in our tracks
No point in carrying on, in being born
Don’t have kids, beak the chain letter
“I am nothing”
Said he who knew

This is kind of a depressing view on life. I am writing something at the moment on how humanity has degenerated. Look out for it it should be here in a few days I don't have a title for it at the moment, but keep on writiing man your talent is amazing.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
