There's a beautiful garden in my heart,
And lately the flowers are growing,
They were dormant for such a long time,
Now their brilliant beauty is showing.
The flowers all are so gentle,
The rose being one exception.
No one knows what the rose may inflict.
No one has that perception.
The times we feel the rose's thorns,
Are the times our heart is aching.
The power of the gentle flowers
Keep our heart from breaking.
So if some days you're feeling sad,
And don't know what to do.
Remember there's a garden in your heart,
So let the sun shine thru.

Del, this poem was so beautiful.
If we all would just realize we too have a garden in our heart! Wonderful blooming flowers that will never part, unless of course, we don't replant, recultivate, irrigate, and carefully allow the sun to shine in! Yes our heart is our "seat of motivation" we must be very careful what we let in! Guard it carefully, and don't let in the thorns and weed. You will only feel in your garden what you feed!
I just loved your beautiful poem!
