She walked through man made walls
And he followed her – breathing hard
Trying to impress on her – his worth
She was aloof and vainglorious
It only made him want her more
Together they could rule this town
But he could not pin her down
Make her promise to take him in
She led him on a merry chase
Caught with his tail between his legs
Just another dirty dog
But she saw a certain spark in him
And she could not deny those eyes
Once she decided to be with him
He filled her with his handsome pride
Lighting candles in the dark
Celebrating what they’d done
He put his trust in what he saw
She never meant him any harm
But pain was part of everything for her
Incorporated in her art
Until he could not hold on to her
As she danced across the boulevard
Stopping traffic

Glad to see you have your prioritys straight. *wink* |
