World of Dreams

Contributed by TheSpiritx on Friday, 5th September 2003 @ 11:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

And the Dreamers fell asleep,
Creating a world in their minds.
A vast universe exploded into existence
On an unconscious plane.

And the Dreamers populated their creation
With many different creatures.
From beast to bird to fish to man,
Each had its own wonderful features.

With every thought a life began.
With every thought one ended.
With every thought came immense sorrow,
But with every thought, joy mended.

Their created world blossomed and grew
Into a massive place.
Soon beyond their own control,
Chaos the Dreamers faced.

A question then arose among the Dreamers:
"Do we wake and end this world which we've created?"

Hatred among their beings arose.
Wars soon commenced.
Man was slaughtered and killed by man,
And these deaths the Dreamers sensed.

It was decided by all but one Dreamer
To end the world of dreams.
But the one was hesitant to destroy his creation,
For there was good in it, it seemed.

So the Dreamers waited for the one to decide
To complete the unanimity,
But, while they watched the world continue,
They saw the end of enmity.

Love and peace sprang anew
And happiness abound.
A renaissance of sorts occured,
All the world around.

The Dreamers then, one by one,
Began to change their mind,
Realizing that the fantasy world
Was one of wonderful design.

And so the dream continued,
Allowing the world to thrive.
Though the Dreamers passed away in time,
The world, it has not died.

And here we are this very day,
Existing, you and I.
We owe our lives to this one Dreamer,
And his discerning eye.

Great write, somehow it really reminds me of Final Fantasy X on PS2. Life is much like a dream.

Wow. that really touched me. Like the bad times come but they too, like everything, will pass and something, possibly wonderful, would be there left for you to experience. Right?

Well that's what it made me feel, and lately I have been having doubts about life and belive me...this was really touching to me.

Keep up your brilliant writes, and hopefully comment(constructivly) on mine for I hope to read more of your poetry.
