how my love can this be
how i never knew my sherry lee
i see your face from time to time
but never around since that time
since that night you left us all
ive never seen you in the hall
you went away and have not come back
my life is dark and dreary black
a car accident has claimed your soul
the story is but one year old
and i will meet you, when days go bye
at that lunch table in the sky

this is a very touching piece. starts out wonderfully. It looses a little after the fourth line. The message is very sincere, but I think if you rework the wording, the piece as a whole, will be stronger.

Great poem! I remember losing my friend, the pain does one day subside, but the memories last forever. Hang in there. Great poem!

I understand your pain. My niece was killed in a car accident just recently. What a way to express your pain. Kimmie_mac
