I knew your name but struggled to recognize
your soul…core…spirit
It never occurred to me
that you had a curiosity
A joy for many things
Living always seemed like
such anxiety
leaving only
the lines on your face
to tell the tale
I often felt as if
you wished we had never met
or that I had been
a different kind of person
When you died I cried
bitter tears
not only for your passing
but for my own mortality
I weep now
Wondering if my children will feel the same

heartfelt poem. You know, many men from the old school as I call it, were incapable of showing affection and love and never let themselves get involved. He worked hard for you all, probably had many worries. You wont be like this, writing this poem proves it.
I loved this piece so much. |
