writing what i feel is what i know

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

to write what i feel is what i know.
the words are here, just cloaked in shadow.
so many pages i’ve begun thrown crumpled to the floor
because to write tonight, i have to write in tears.
and i don’t want to hurt tonight.
please, I don’t want to cry.

i find your logic difficult to follow.
your words are here and there.
you left because you ran.
you are to stay because you left
in part, another part no longer reason,
gone when the night would not come to you,
and you vanished to yourself a while.
something more gone missing, something i am failing to perceive.
no doubt i will, though i don’t want and may not right away,
no worries, me.

as well for us who have not love, there is the dark,
and it’s better when it hurts, tears on the page so pretty.
dark words smeared black tell of a darker place,
tell of a heart as it breaks, into obscurity.
but i don’t want to hurt tonight.
please, i don’t want to cry.

i find your logic difficult to follow
your words are here and there.
your options different now, is what i see,
where do i fit, a fool perhaps is me.
the hills are green, no doubt the sky is blue,
a decision made before, is one to follow through, and
though you think of me, i am no part of where you want to be.
something more gone missing, something i am failing to perceive.
no doubt i will, though i don’t want and may not right away,
no worries, me.

and when my words for you bring tears,
their darkness you can feel.
is it good for you because you know their touch is real.
you say you like the things i write, though, i yet fight the words to end.
no, i don’t want to hurt tonight.
please, i don’t want to cry.

and i find your logic difficult to follow
your words are here and there.
could be told i l lack perspective though,
or wear a mask of what i want distorting what i see.
uncovered, if i’m to write, it’s what i feel is what i know.
and so to write in tears, because of where i have to go, for
something more gone missing, something i am failing to perceive.
no doubt i will, though i don’t want and may not right away, not now.
no worries, me.

and writing what i feel is what i know, the words are here.
excepting now in tearless apathy, i’d rather write of nothing.
letting nothing stay the goal, when empty is the gain.
moreover, nothing leads to numb which i do very well.
i cannot face the dark just yet, and you know why.
i don’t want to hurt tonight.
please, i don’t want to cry.

God, that was perhaps the very best poem I've ever read! I now how it feels to only write what you know or feel, and sometimes it nearly drives me insane. Past heartache and nights on end of crying while I write a poem. This is a ten star poem. Peace be with you for twenty lifetimes.

That is exceptional!! One of the best I've ever read. I'm sorry you're clearly in a lot of pain, but did you ever get a fantastic write out of it! See, every cloud has a silver lining. Keep on writing what you feel, and I hope that soon you no longer feel the need to cry.

because to write tonight, i have to write in tears.
I loved all of this, but especially that line this was very emotional and you describe your feelings and thoughts very well. I hope you feel better soon.
