Childish Games

Contributed by jaeann on Wednesday, 3rd September 2003 @ 09:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Play the game of sorry
and see who always wins
it's not the one who feels that way
it's the one that does the sin.

Jump your spot three spaces left
a testament to your will
leave yourself wide open
as they come in for the kill.

They smile and say they're sorry
with their evil little grins
throw you back to starting place
as they rush past you to win.

Now you know you're odd man out
and haven't a strategy in sight
they turn around to laugh at you
and relish in your plight.

Play the game of sorry
and you'll find you'll never win
unless you get the best of them
and be the first to sin.

Sorry was never my game
I don't like feeling that way
You are right the outcome is always the same
Away from the type I like to stay
