You look at the sky as clouds go by,
You sit and wonder then you sigh.
To ride a cloud would be so neat,
As you go by and dangle your feet.
You watch people in their back yard,
Some are swimming, some playing cards.
Children riding bikes on the road,
Couples in rocking chairs growing old.
You see businessmen trying to catch a cab,
Fishermen catching crabs.
Farmers in the field plowing corn,
A cowboy grabbing a bull by the horn.
You see homeless looking for food to eat,
As fires in trashcans put out heat.
You see firemen putting fires out with a hose,
A housewife hanging out her clothes.
You see a runaway trying to make money,
As guys go by and say come on honey.
You then see a funeral going down the road,
Suddenly you’ve grown very cold.
You realize then that life is passing you by,
Remember your dreams, don’t let them die.
