I Need A Place

Contributed by RealCrystal on Tuesday, 2nd September 2003 @ 12:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

I need to find a place bound with silence, so I can keep my mind clear through all this violence,
A place to spend my quiet days where alone in solitude I can pray,
A place only polluted by the the sun's rays,
A place where no one knows my struggles but my troubles are not arcane,
Where people understand me, my pain,
A place where my spirit could sleep and the acme of all my values reached.
A place where my pen could keep a forever supply of ink and where my will to write could never be dilatory,
I need a place to rest my head to let blank thoughts serenade my brain,
I need a place where my own sanity can't drive me insane,
A place where the dangers of this world are tamed and tounges telling lies hiding truth turn lame,
Where the cacophony of this current society is forced to return to the filters of honesty and give to me a new Idea of purity,
In conclusion I need a place that I might not ever see.

A place like this you'll only find
Hidden deep within your mind
Where you're in control
With silence for your soul.

But tell me again and please confirm
You'll have to run the place with no firm
So tell me between dream and reality
Where would you really like to be?
