Illicitly Done

Contributed by phildel on Wednesday, 14th August 2002 @ 06:40:11 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Slowly the buttons came undone,
The shirt fell open
Smooth skin lay untouched underneath.
Eyes wondered from the buttons
Up, up to two more wondering eyes.
Voyeur peered through shedding light
On the whole situation.

What’s wrong with this?
I keep thinking, nothing, nothing
I’m not the one implying there is.
I’m not the concerned best friend
Tomorrow, and I’m not
The auntie who’s sent to talk
Sense into me, Or the teachers
I dare to tell and ask their
Opinions of.
I am the girl today, here and now
He’s the man with me
This is my open shirt and
Those are his eyes
And in the growing power
Of the voyeur of sunrise
I am this girl
And I say this is fine.
It’s as simple as that…
Today he is mine.

I really like your poem!
You are so right if you truly love the guy then make him yours no matter what!
