I wish I was a shadow
Which guides you everywhere.
The one that looks upon you
Wherever you may appear.
I wish I was the sunlight
Which keeps you warm all day,
Which would never leave you
And go with you all the way.
I wish I was the stars
Which shine when you’re asleep,
And when you’re feeling lonely,
Lying in your bed,
You could look upon them
And feel me near.
I wish I was the wind
Which blows smoothly through your hair,
And whenever you have a question,
I’d blow the answer to you there.
I wish I was the ground
On which you stand,
Which keeps you stable
And would never let you fall down.
And when you feel the world
Is standing all against you
I’d be the one
Who would never leave you,
Who would hold your hand
And understand.
