Your comments run in colors
Into the sink and down the drain
My hands tremble with your talking
Egotistical refrain is painful
But there is truth in what you say
So I do not shut you out
Reserve the right to rebuttal
Continue this conversation tomorrow
While you ply your trade
In subtle pantomimes and performances
Infidelity is your trademark
And I match you line for line
Desire bubbles up like cola
Foaming over the top lip
Of frosted glasses in odd shapes
You use my a** as a coaster
I will forgive just this once
And I see you in the distance
Between the doorway and the sun
Revolving around me today
Your words hit me in the head
Make me collapse in laughter
At your insights about giraffes
And the meaning of the universe
You spin me like a top
And I faint at your feet
Depleted now that you have tasted me
Treated me to something of yourself
Divulged ingenuous
Love making as an artform
I am spent and wasted
And you have finished
Painting the kitchen
