Cloudy Mountain Tops

Contributed by PierreRichards on Tuesday, 13th August 2002 @ 08:38:38 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Gums of different types
Reaching high into the sky
Growing on the mountain sides
Into the cloudy sky

Rock formations of grand design
Edging barren cliffs
With few hardy clumps of green
All easing into a grey cast sky

Birds of varied colors soar
Above a canopy of green, brown, and grey
As they fly just below and through bellowing clouds
Hovering in a grey cast sky

Roads and trails etch over climbing mountains
That top in a heavy blanket of sodden clouds
Hiding the tops from my limited vision
In a rainy day sky

Beauty is not lost, but enhanced with wonder
As we travel in new set of grandeur
Color blends with texture of nature’s canvas
Sounds mix with sight and smell

Making a fantastic experience to behold
Filling every sense thoroughly
Giving a new wondrous sight to experience
Filling the mind with awe to the ability of Mother Nature

Gums of different types
Reaching high into the sky
Growing on the mountain sides
Into the cloudy sky

This is the beauty of mountains tops in the clouds
A vision to behold in every peek
A wonder to see anywhere and any time
A sight to seek in your own backyard
