Don't forget

Contributed by Katie-Kate on Friday, 29th August 2003 @ 08:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I try hard to see his features
Mould them in my mind
But a vague and misty image
Is all that I can find

It hasn't been that long
But his face, it starts to fade
I'm forgetting the short time we shared
And the joy in my heart that he made

But I remember how his words felt
Their warmth embraced my heart
But not hearing them anymore
I fear I'll fall apart

I hang onto these feelings
Praying he'll return
But with each day that passes
Is a time candle burned

I just need one small glimpse
To get me through this day
Just a memory or a flash back
Of something he would say

I need to see his eyes
To feel his gentle touch
Or do I need to move on
I can't, I love him too much.

This poem really made me think. He's my friend... and I want to move on but I can't because I love him too much. /amy/
