Teenage angst

Contributed by broken-glass on Thursday, 28th August 2003 @ 09:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

So this is my teenage angst.
The days I am meant to dream of suicide
Well this angst sure does hurt, and I guess I have learnt
that it is hard to live through the eyes of a teen,
when everyone seems to want to dampen your dreams,
when everyone seems to go form teams,
leaving you all alone.
A victim of stereotypical glances,
mental abuse I keep on taking my chances.
Isolating my self from the outside world,
trapping myself in my room.
Writing poetry for hours and hours on end, trying to fufil my gloom.
Listening to angry females and emotive men,
bleeding from my heart armed with a pen.
However I release my tension, I do not forget to dream,
I will not let the world walk over me just because I'm only 15.
