Artificial Courage

Every once in a while,
I will bring a flame of courage to life
by adding a liitle dash of wine.
You can charge at me with your opinion
but know that I am well prepared
to defend mine.
I will hold my ground,
as you stand in front of me,
wielding your arrogance like a sword.
I will quietly disarm you,
and yet still be heard
over your propensity for discord.
I know this courage,
is only temporary,
as it comes from an artificial source.
I am just spicing up ,
an otherwise bland mixture of pills,
to empower a more potent force.
