Thursdays

Topic: LovePoetry

My head next to your heart
Feelings stronger with every beat
Never thought these bitter lips
Would taste kisses so very sweet
The simplest moments seem surreal
When they're spent with you
It's just hard to believe
You could ever feel the way I do
I couldn't ever wish for this bliss
That's a wish too big for any falling star
I couldn't ever dream of someone
Even close to how perfect you are
The only thing that's bad
Is I can't think of the right words to say
No words in my vocabulary
Would possibly be able to convey
Exactly how it feels
To have your hands wrapped around me tight
Or how diappointing it is
To finally have to say goodnight
They say honesty's the best policy
So here's the honest truth to be told
You're everything I need
For you I bend and fold
These words are not enough
These words don't even start
I don't know what to do or say
I can only give you my heart
And my heart is yours alone
So hold it close and tight
Because then a little bit of me will stay with you
When we have to say goodnight
