Daddy Dear

Contributed by ShadowsCloud on Sunday, 24th August 2003 @ 03:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Daddy dear can't you see
Just how much you mean to me
Daddy dear some times at night
I cry for what I've lost, it's just not right
Daddy dear I want you to know
Over the years I've always loved you so
Daddy dear I think of you every day
I've tried to write you, but I don't know what to say
Daddy dear I still need you in my life
The pain in my heart cuts like a knife
Daddy dear I miss you so
I want to find you but you don't even know
Daddy dear I know what I must do
I need to finally make peace with you
Daddy dear we need to sit and talk
There is no need to yell, sweak, or squawk
Daddy dear there are things that must be said
Things that we might even dread
Daddy dear I come to you with my heart open
Hoping that our relationship will once again deepen
