the dungeon

Contributed by hobbitt2u on Saturday, 23rd August 2003 @ 02:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: AnniversaryPoems

Down from the tower, I walk the pink mile
To the dungeon, with white dirty tile.
Its smoldering hot, stench all around me
Caring for life, where death longs to be.
Thirty-two on the west, twelve belong to me.
Alarms are my worry, 7A to 14B
As I pass over there lifeless body
tending to the machine
that makes them breath,
I know
Family and friends long to see
this liveless body return to
the person it used to be.
Glanceing down
I see there eyes stareing at me,
although every pair is different
they have one common plea
Please let me die, just leave me be.....

Heartwringing for me, how very kind of you to share
For those that never see or are aware,
That's the only time death can be a friend...
Please let them sleep.....let this existence end!
And I'm so happy to hear that you try to understand their plight!
They are in darkness.....yet you walk in the light....what a marvelously kind heart you have.
Your poem was a very sad write....but one that needed to be said.
Lovingcritters
Connie
