Trying to forget

I am trying to forget the days gone by so fast.
trying to forget a friendship that will not last.
A mutual feeling that once was true.
A feeling now torn in two!

trying to forget i'm torn between
confused in a world no longer sereen.
A world of difference that it would be.
if you would lend your heart to me.

forget the car that once drove by
trying to hold bak my cry.
the emotion i've tried to let go, tried to endure.
i see now that you have chosen her.

Trying to forget how i thought you cared.
forgetting the silent moments we shared.
All the secre tears cried for you
the silly things i used to do.

Trying to forget the hurt i felt
forgetting i kept the feelings to myself.
All the emotions, trying to stall
trying to forget i ever liked you at all.

You put a positive picture in my Mind's Eye...this too is a very sincere poem with much meaning. I like the way you introduced your theme and then carried all throughout the whole poem. Heart breakingly beautiful write. You have much talent!
