The book says that we must love
That we must not judge
That we must forgive
That we must spread the word
Are bodies shall be his temple
You say God speaks through you
You are his loyal servant and messenger
Then why do you look upon me so?
Have you yourself not judged me?
You have cast me aside as a sinner
The church will not covet thee now
So why then should I believe?
And if I did would I find comfort in you
Would I feel loved and accepted?
Would I be abolished of all my sins?
Would you be the one to save me?
You that has sinned against me
If you preach the word of the lord
And you pretend you’re a saint
Then are your wrong doings overlooked?
I am a little unclear at this point
I am not loved for who I am
I must become one of your kind
But I am your kind…
I have sinned just like you
