The Whipporwills Call

THE WHIPPOORWILLS CALL
I wonder what God will replace
With the things I know on earth
In Heaven will we see a trace
Of the things we hold of worth

Will I hear a whippoorwills call
Such beautiful sounds in my ear
The old shade trees standing tall
Will the moon and stars be near

Up in Heaven is there an ocean
The most awesome sight to see
Will I see grass on which to run
Or some graceful swans for me

Will I smell the fresh spring rain
Or see the sun as it starts to rise
Will I hear a rooster crow again
Watch a hummingbird as he flies

Will I see a mountain to behold
They can take my breath away
While I walk on streets of gold
Will I smell the fresh baled hay

Although I may never see again
All this beauty God gave to me
Gods love for me never wanes
I`ll spend with him all eternaty

If there isn`t rivers so full of fish
Or streams that`s near water falls
If I could have but just one wish
I`d hear The Whippoorwills Call

Oh thelma what a beautiful poem.
All the creations of God are so comforting
especially the songs of his birds that were created just for us to listen to and enjoy.
I can tell you have a deep love for God....what a wonderful thing to have....what ever he has prepared for you....you can be sure you're going to love it!
I really enjoyed your poem...
