I never knew someone could be so shallow

Contributed by broken-glass on Tuesday, 19th August 2003 @ 12:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Here I am again.
Angry with the world.
All I do is analyse my life and of course, myself.
I notice the things I do during the day,
wait for my house to be empty then consume a giant cake.
I never knew someone could be so greedy.
Then I feel the frustration as others win and I lose.
I never knew someone could be so envious.
It hurts to know how selfish I am,
it hurts to know how ungrateful I am.
It's ME, ME, ME, self absorbed little worm,
why don't I be quiet, will I ever learn??
Greedy, and selfish, envious and fake,
these words I am writing, are not mine for goodness sake!
Pumped into my brain from an evil person,
I never knew someone could be so shallow.
