oops

Swaying like a drunkard,
Down a high hallway,
Shady paths either swing,
Metallic, I think in split-frames,
Everyone is hilarious,
No-one helps, just laughs,
So I turn, in rare desperation,
Down a messy straight,
Lighted at the easy flip,
I fall.
Caught first, then again I fall,
Until I only lay, unworthy,
Just listening to the voices,
Sometimes myself, mostly others.
A dreaded hole,
So near,
An epicentre of that one inferno,
I feel threatened,
Unable to snicker,
So I blink once,
Focusing on anything real,
Such a struggle,
So I give up,
Simply close my eyes and give up all hope,
Fading from any consciousness,
Once again I fall…
