The Call (of the Wind)

Contributed by Damaged on Sunday, 17th August 2003 @ 01:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

In the distance
I hear a cry carried in the wind
The wind brushes through my hair
The message soaks into me
Like the ocean

Up above me
I see an eagle soaring high
His scream is carried by the wind
His scream pierces my soul
Like the thunder

Down below me
The grass sways in the wind
The rustling causes the wind to stir
The feeling overwhelms me - I want to dance
Like the majestic mountains

In the distance
I hear a cry carried in the wind
The wind brushes through my hair
The message soaks into me
It is the call
