We water them with our tears.
We feed them with our fears.
They never go away.
They’re here to stay.
They fill our minds with doubts.
Sometimes we can’t let them out.
We occasionally snap and burst,
And that’s the worst.
At times a look can kill,
Strike us down and destroy our will.
It feels like we missed our bus,
And we get crushed.
But a smile goes a very long way.
It seems to brighten any dreary day.
Just like a happy song,
You can’t go wrong.
And even better is a dose of love.
Much greater than any known drug.
If you can’t find it in your heart,
Then it’s time to start.
It is something that we all should do.
It’s a choice and it is up to you.
It’s the only way that you can find,
Your peace of mind.
Yes emotions keep us spinning round.
But it is better to smile than frown.
And if a friend is what you’re looking for,
Unlatch the door!
