Vulnerable, manipulative
Never laid eyes on them
Still you’re strung
Still you’re dutiful
Think you feel restraint?
Think you have a say?
They are not cotton, not silk
But promises berthed in a podium
breaths with meaning not purpose
Breaths that fade in the larynx
Little by little, bone by bone,
They rule but hold no strength
Few have cared, even few have controlled
Chocking on sour fruits
Not paranoid, but we should be…
Soon, we all will be
All live, few are aware
You will notice it all just before…
Before they fold the flag, play the harp
Yes, they will play the string harp but not for you
For them
Strings are for them
They´ve Always been for them
