Shadows

The world is a big place,
but yet only few mean anything to me
as I sit in the dark,
no shadows upon me anymore
I look to the door,
the dim shadows prowling
I hold my breath,shaking
I will never let another in,
the sound of my heart beating,
gasping,the tears hitting off my cheeks
as the light kills the dark and dries my tears,
there await a hand
eyes looking down on me
most of all,
a Smile
