My Room Full of Pain

Contributed by Lost4EvEr1541 on Thursday, 14th August 2003 @ 10:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

The walls seem to be closing
the light starts to fade
sleeping all day
forgetting how to sleep at night

Trying to live a dream
remembering how happy i once was
i just hide it
the pain, trapped in my room.

Hiding in the walls i hit
hiding in the pillow i scream in
hiding in the mirror i want to smash.
not worrying about eating or sleeping

The pain is too much
But i'm scared
Scared to leave my room
Scared to walk downstairs
or scared to walk into hell.

I'll just stay trapped
inside my closing walls and fading lights.

My room holds my pain
It holds the memories of what happened
and the regrets of what might have been.

My room is labeled depression
and so am I.
I live inside four walls, scared to live,
scared to die... worst of all,
scared to escape.

this is a very creative write, one which i enjoyed! ive been here before....still kinda am there now, but we cant be scared of life, or scared to help ourselves out of depression. we have to find the strength within ourselves to fight and to go on strong....
