The Candidate
By:Norman Turkel
August 2003
Who's that coming down the street,
He's the one who's hard to beat,
With pronounced strut and swinging butt,
Looks somewhat like old king Tut.
With bearing proud and voice quite loud,
The other candidates are cowed,
He has an air defies approach,
needed for a football coach.
The kind of guy who runs the show,
No nonsense, please, or out you go,
Accountants and the CEOs
Fear this man as goodness knows.
A corporate raider, investment trader,
He knows the street like you know Nader,
The Governor's mansion's where he's headed,
One president's daughter, he may have bedded.
He's got my vote, there's no man better,
He is no saint but a racetrack bettor,
I'd rather watch him out in front,
Then pols in back who twist and punt.
The moral.. if that word be used,
Is honesty's a word bemused,
Rely not on that quality,
It's two for us and one for he...

Norm so true I must agree
the politics and government
are really getting to me.
Honesty is how it should be
I guess we will need to leave it
up to people like you and me.
to turn this country of ours around
and do the best to stay honest upright and proud!! |

And so my friend with Politics I end!
But I know about people....
I was always taught......and I think alot!!!!
That it takes one to recognze another!
Never point your fore finger at someone....
look closely at your hand....
There's three fingers pointing back at you from where you stand!
Meow.....Princess Catus Pyle
alias lovingcritters not politickers! (giggles)
