ABUSIVE PARENTS TAKE.......NO........NOTE!

Abusive parents have eyes,
But they refuse to see!
Abusive parents have ears,
But they refuse to hear you and me!
Abusive parents have hearts of stone, that never beat!
Abusive parents are "Murderers of Souls"
Abusive parents never retreat!
They are oblivious to pain and suffering sensation.
Their passion is overwhelming force.
Topped with rage and a straight abusive course!
Abusive parents are self-centered.
Selfish "Lover's of themselves!"
Without genuine affection,
no recollection,
They consider their children, their victims , as not being human.
They believe them to be objects or possessions.
Like a car you store in your garage,
Or a framed Moose head,
they hang in their lodge!
Without mercy, empathy is lost!
"It doesn't hurt me; therefore, I can do to you as I please!
And yes! At any cost!"
Abusive parents will NOT take note!
Even when jailed,
no gain, no rote!
Give up their sick suffocating possessiveness?
Many abusive parents would rather kill.
Holding their "possessions" still!
Only reliquishing them against their will!
Abusive parents have no sense of justice!
Infants, kindergartners, teenagers, wee tot!
Abusive parents are Cowards!
Scared of retaliation, reciprication.....
Sneaking their abuse alot!
When accosted about their abuse....
Academy Award Actors!
Like Camelions on the loose!
It's called "Don't Show and Don't Tell!"
When relatives or friends are around,
Abusive parents become....compassionate, kind, their loving ways abound!
Will children always be abused?
As long as abusive parents have children.
The abuse is here to stay!
If only there was some way?
The Only Hope for these little bloody warriors with their hearts ripped from their chest....frightened children beaten or burned raw.....hearts frozen that will never thaw.....is when kind men like Norm,
Take their time to write,
and post poems on line.....
To encourage, enlighten, and give hope!!
Continuing to Bring Attention
to this helpless, uphill slope!
You too can help the abused child.
Watch them everyday,
Nieces, nephews, family far away.
Next door, or downtown mall.
White, black, red, love them all!
Suspicions may count....
Could save a little life!
Call Your Hot Line......Help an abused child escape their strife!
If you were they.....
I know they'd get help for you!
Assist them to live......
Help them to stay......
to live another day!
and another day!
and another day!

I read Norms poem also.This really got to me tonight reading this. I know a child who did die at the hands of his mothers boyfriend. He had just turned two years old, his name was Christopher.I was very close to this child. I have lived with quilt of not going beyond the points I did to stop the abuse. You make a good point with this poem, if there is a suspision then there is reason to look into this.

| very true..everyday a child is killed by some close to them...i was a abused child thank god i made it..it lives with you everyday every minute of your life..you always wonder why ,what did i do wrong..but you are right be on the look out...if you think a child is being abused do something...don't just turn your head..babygirlal |

| It breaks my heart to see what some kids go through everyday. I saw it. My babysitters husband was abusing her and I saw the way my son acted one day. He never went back. I also informed child services and they told them that they couldn't babysit anymore children. He never touched the kids but watching her get beat is abuse ( mental). They told her that if she didn't leave her husband they would take her kids away. Needless to say abuse sickens me and it's not just kids. People abuse helpless animals and elderly too. I have been in that same situation. I could go on but in order to stop abuse We all have to open our eyes and report it before it's too late. |
