well i've heard that this feeling will never pass
but im all too sure that it will
its the first rays of light as i open my eyes,
my first conscious thought, the memories of yesterday, your calm breathing, that help me get up today.
and as im sure that this feeling will pass
im sure that it will also come back

and i will live today like my last

this i can relate to - the whole cycle of remembrance and forgetting is so hard on the soul. this is beautifully written and the final line is poignant and sticks in the mind. another excellent write David. Kate x
