Ego's flight

I've seen ego fight
With dramas, more dramas and plight
Just to paralyze those
Who's souls it chose.
So random, it seems
This crossing of dreams.

I purposely pause then realize
A strength in me I recognize.
As I open my eyes and see
Myself as if I were a tree.
Branches, buds, blooms and leaves
All grow from long dormant seeds.

Each of us are earthbound angels
Living under gossamer veils
Sporting only one wing
Until we embrace, then sing.
And with wide open eyes we soar and see

That we always were
What we wanted to be.
