Mind & Heart Reversals

Contributed by zee on Wednesday, 13th August 2003 @ 01:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

My Mind wants me to be sleeping,
But my Heart wants me to be awake.
My Mind wants me to be enjoying on a beach,
But my Heart wants me to sit by a lake.

My Mind wants American, Chinese or Thai food,
But my Heart always loves the home made food.
My Mind wants to thrash him so badly with bricks & tile,
But my Heart prefers to pardon him as a mere infantile.

My Mind wants me to be the king of all,
But my Heart wants me to make one from all.
My Mind wants me to love only the loved ones,
But my Heart wants me to grace the left ones.

My Mind wants me to befall rich & famous in life.
But my Heart says ok to just the chuck of life.
My mind wants me to take the shortest way to success.
My Heart advises me the most genuine way to success.

My Mind wants me to run down & grab it.
My Hearts wants me to calm down & have it.
My Mind wants me to come up victorious in every aspect,
But My Heart wants me Judge up & define every aspect.

My mind wants my heart to stop beating so innocently,
My heart wants my mind to stop reacting so astutely.
This war between Mind & heart will never get over,
It’s me who will act accordingly with my head lower.

Very thought provoking Zee...oh the trials of the battle between mind and heart...the mind may win at first, but eventually the heart always prevails :) Great write, Krystal:)
