Mother May I Love This Girl
Believe Me That I Love Her
Her Eyes Send Me Through A Whirl
And Warm Me Like Coats Of Fur
Mother May I Hold Her Hand
And Say I'll Never Let Go
Lay With Her Upon The Sand
With Our Voices Talking Low
Mother May I Kiss Her Lips
And Claim Her To Be My Own
Love That Burns My Fingertips
And Seeps Right Into My Bones
Mother May I Wed My Love
On Her Finger Place A Ring
Even God Is Not Above
For All I Need She Does Bring
Mother May I Live In Peace
The Girl I Love Beside Me
When Will All The Torment Cease
How Do I Make Them All See
Mother May I Love This Girl
Hard As I Know It Will Be
Only When You Let Me Go
Will I Ever Be Truly Free

It's hard for us mothers to let go of our children. Nice poem. Kimmie_mac |
