Where are you Mr. Right?

Contributed by Kay-P-M-Devenish on Monday, 12th August 2002 @ 12:55:19 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Where are you Mr. Right?
are you here tonight?
are you unobtrusive ,
or raging in the crowd ?
Are you speaking softly,
or laughing really loud ?
Have you noticed that I'm here ?
are you drinking Aussie beer?
Where are you Mr. Right?
are you here tonight?
Are you the little fat guy,
wearing sleeves stained with pie?
Are you the bald one wearing black?
or the tall one with the hunched up back?
Do you have ANY hair ?
or is your head shaved all bare?
Is country music what you crave?
or are the classics more your rave?
Do you like to laugh a lot?'
does your tummy have a ' pot?'
Where are you Mr Right?
are you here tonight?
Are you standing near the wall
feeling all alone and small?
or are you half under the table
trying to stand but unable?
are you singing like you own the town
are you the one who's eyebrows frown?
Are you the one with the built up arms
or the one with arms like pins?
Are you the one with the greek God face
or the one with double chins?
Are you the one with the snake tatoo
or the one in the suit of navy blue?
Are you anywhere in sight???
can you see me Mr.Right?

I don't know which one is you,
if only eyes could see hearts too.
I do know you like sunsets,
and watching long grass sway,
I know you care to daydream ,
and watch the dawn each day.
I know that you get lonely too,
and understand when someone's blue.
I know you long for someone ,
someone who'll always stay .
I know your getting tired because
she hasn't come your way.
I may have passed you here tonight,
so sad , but ...could be true,
Oh Mr .Right ,if you're here,
please tell me...
which one's...YOU?

Loved your poem!
For me I like the line…
"Are you the one with the Greek god face”?
lol...because my crush is Greek!
But I think your poem was so great and special because of how you said all these different men and It was not just like o how I wish my prince charming would come with blond hair and blue eyes!
I like the poem so much because it made me feel like you don’t have to be good looking for me as long as you love me!
