Lucid dreamer

Contributed by vincy on Wednesday, 13th August 2003 @ 11:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

I have asked
my sleeping self
who and what
to dream about.
Here I am
wondering
all along
why whoever
is in there
keeps on
bugging me
to fit them,
to serve them.
Why whoever
is in there
won't let me be!.
Who am I to blame
to have set to flame
earthly posessions
for the gift
of the sight
of their
charred
aftermath.
Layers and layers
of memory traces
in my faces,
my visions
are squandered,
washed against
remote corners
of my mind
where
the faintest ideas
gather and season
longing
to be set free
from
the grasp
of reason.
I must ask
this lucid dreamer
If he can spare
the will to change?
With this poem
I move
into a space
where
I can not be
touched.
With this gesture
I move
into a pasture
where
I can not be
traced.
With this effort
I take a stance
where
I can not be
faced.

Wow.....this is kinda' a silent lucidity.
I like the stance you take on your awareness.
This is very well spoken of all the lucid minds
out there. :-)
Angel always......godspeed.....joni

I hope you know these can also be lyrics, with the lines form"i must ask" down to the end for the chorus, the form line 1, "I have aked" down to "aftermath" for the first verse and the rest as the second and/or third verse. It would sound good slow, with a sort beat and acoustic guitar. You should try it.
