Inhibitions.
A dark , underground cavern,
visible only to me.
Stalactites hang menacingly overhead,
finely honed by my many fears.
My mind, like the tiny stream of hope
that once flowed through this place
is now stagnant.
Escape is becoming unlikely,
as my sorrow seems to cause
more and more stalagmites to form
and block any path to freedom.
There are occasional flashes of light,
but I have learned it is best not to
seek out it's origin.
It only mocks me .
I sink back safely into obscurity.
