A Walk

Contributed by gogrl on Tuesday, 12th August 2003 @ 02:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I am haunted by the memories
of one or two good times,
I persevered while being chastised
for imaginary crimes.
Now the sun has set,
its light no more,
and the tide has washed away the shore.
I revel in the imagery,
your self appointed sanctity,
and wonder how it is I chose
this darkened path where the shadows close.
Take a walk with me
down this darkened path,
love has no place in eternal wrath.
I no longer fear this empty home,
So I am coming home alone.

Thank you very much! It was a tough moment for sure but life would be boring without those tough moments and I wouldn't be inspired to write if I didn't have them.

Have a beautiful day!

Thank you very much for takin the time to read my piece. Believe it or not I wasn't as sad as it sounds. It was more acceptance than sadness.

Thank you again and have a beautiful day.

Thank you so much! I am glad that you enjoyed it. It was probably one of the most meaningful pieces I have ever wrote. It came from the heart of acceptance not anger or misery ar anything else.

I am proud of that one and I am very glad that you enjoyed it.

Thank you again girl, have a great weekend!
Shannon
