The tone you used was comforting,
The words were just as sweet,
You almost had me fooled there,
But your eyes couldn't lie in the heat.
They gave away your intentions,
They let me see the real you,
If only I had noticed sooner,
I wouldn't be in love with you.
I was too quick to forgive your actions,
I never questioned why,
I trusted all your motives,
I didn't think that you would lie.
But you screwed me over majorly,
you left me torn in two
I was stupid for not noticing
But I was in love with you.

Good write, very flowing..........Love is believing in someone, unfortunately, there are those who take advantage of that love. Keep writing...........Mike |
