Should I be quiet just because of my age?
Am I not meant to say my opinions?
I'm too young to vote and too young to drive but not too young to have feelings.
Such a chill sent down my spine when I walk into a shop.
Stereotyped and I feel like a prop.
To all of the teenagers who know how I feel;lets be heard, lets be noticed.
Lets start a reveloution.
Adults make rules to be broken, swear words to be spoken, but still I have no privilege.
No freedom.
Say what you want, your words have no relevance.
I won't cover my mouth just because I'm still at school.
I'm sorry respect is hard to find, and I'm sorry sex has crossed my mind;
but this is a generation with no care or rules.
No care for royalty and no care for society.
No care for history because yesterdays gone, the system is screwed and the world is a con.
Handle the youth,
handle the truth: this is the future.
There are so many teenagers who would fight for peace,
but the adults keep fighting their wars;
now who are the grown ups?

Dear Broken Glass, Never let anyone look down on your youth. Make yourself heard, no matter the price. That's known as integrity, and if you can't be true to yourself, then who can you be true to? No one not even God
Marvelously expressed poem Very Well thought out, intense, I felt your feelings and wanted to light your torch!

Excellent poem broken glass. Well expressed and very powerful. Connie is so right don't lose your integrity...age is number that people in this world do stereotype so very much, but not matter what that number is you still have the right to be heard and accepted for who and what you are! keep writing:) Krystal |

awesome write. people don't realise that it's the youth with perspective. we haven't been fully trained how to be ignorant, we see things for what they are, but our input is not wanted - does this make sense to anyone? |

Great write count me in I will protest with you. Adults don't let kids speak their little minds because they think what we have to say is not good enough |
