How to Prove Love

Topic: HumorPoetry

How do you know if your love is real
If you're told, "I love you, my dear",
The girl I married I thought was a steal,
But now I'm rethinking this year.

Little things go passing by
You have to wonder truth or lie?
Who can tell?, might be a guy
It makes you reach for the bonded rye.

I'll tell you the scene, you'll want to careen,
It's kind of terribly weird,
When I think of the facts, it's causing attacks,
It's leaving my face streaked and teared.

The other night, in a room that was dark,
As I was going to bed,
My wife asked me nicely, "Spread the sheet
and tuck in the corners", she said.

I'm the kind of guy who likes to comply
I grabbed the sheet, "Yes, dear", I said,
I gave it a 'flip' and I 'flipped' it awry
So that it would cover the bed.

I looked and I looked and I looked yet again,
for the corners to tuck in the sheet,
They found me that way at the start of next day,
With my mouth full of froth and unneat.

My eyes were aglaze and my hair was a maze
and my face was as red as a beat,
My wife told the doc she was sorry, indeed
She forgot t'was a circular sheet.

If one of you girls want to diddle your Joe,
Go buy you a circular sheet,
and give it to Joe and ask him be nice
and make the bed 'cause you're weak.

If he's still in the house and still in the groove
and he did it without being 'teed',
You can feel very glad for yes, you did prove
that the man really loves you, indeed.

Poor Norm indeed!

I laughed til I cried,
Then when was dry eyed,
I said, "That Norm is a leach"
For his wife could not teach....
he has to know that was a circle for a Joe,
That's not love, Norm, that's too down "low"
What a great way for you to inform
us what love really isn't!
but was nice to see you conform!
Funny, Fun, hilarious with rum!
Connie

lemme get this one right Norm, it might come handy.
If I were to want my "Jo" diddled
I should get a circular sheet
then get my partner to tuck in the corners,
or does it work the other way around?.
Intrigueing, did you pick this one up from the old bag
or did you make it up as you went along.
