The sun is setting; your face is close.
Your eyes are closing, my dying rose
Our lives can change, with just one kiss
My mind is lost, spinning in this abyss
Ones feelings get to close, and pushes another away
Ones mouth opens, but with nothing to say
My memories begin to fade; can’t you bring them back?
You are the reason, the speculation fades from fact.
Your ideas seem clouded; mixed signals are your game
The ball is no longer in my court, leaving myself to blame.
Your back is turned from me and the life is out
My heart was lifted by my thoughts but now it’s without
You leave me here with an open heart and mixed feelings for you
I once began to think I was feeling the same, the same that you did too
My head tilts down, with no expression on my face
I was beginning to feel the same, but now I feel out of place
I love what I cannot have; I cherish what I cannot see
I want you, but I want you to want me
I cannot tell, what is fake and what is real
For your closing eyes are all that I can feel.
